Visiting Vancouver in July is a great month for outdoor events and activities! July 1 is Canada Day which is the main national public holiday. While most stores etc. are closed on this day, you can enjoy fireworks, parades, music, and the whole city celebrating. But there are a lot more events happening, like the Folk Music Festival, the African Descent Festival in Thornton Park or for those interested in Latin American Culture, the Carnaval del Sol. At the end of July, there’s the big Celebration of Light with food, music and fireworks, and the Illuminares Lantern Festival in John Hendry Park.

Especially in winter Vancouver faces a lot of rainfall, sometimes it can get quite stormy, but it hardly ever snows. Springtime brings pleasant temperatures, more sunshine and blooming flowers with it whereas summer is the driest and warmest season.
