In October you will still have highs of 84°F during the day and it never gets colder than 77°F. So fall temperatures in Miami might still be hotter than summer wherever you call home! The Atlantic Ocean with its 82°F water temperature hasn’t cooled down much yet either and invites you to dive right in! The rainy season, which peaked last month, starts to move on with 15 days of rain on average but it’s getting better than it was in September! Prepare for a bit of leftover summer humidity too!
All these weather advantages together with less visitors and lower prices must be weighed up with the fact that in October, it is the tail end of the hurricane season in Miami. Make sure to be aware but the risk is lower than in September. In any case, even if the weather has bad moments in October you will never get bored in Miami. Besides visiting all the attractions you can also visit the South Beach Seafood Week for some great local produce.
