In September temperature
highs still climb above 100°F in Indio, Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta or wherever else you might be heading in the
Coachella Valley. At night it can
cool down to a more pleasant 73°F now and the hot sun sets earlier as the
daylight hours drop to 12 hours each day in September. It’s still very dry though and there is
zero rain to be expected.
In September university starts again and so does the
College of the Desert Street Fair on the weekends. If you are into horses a visit of the
Empire Polo Club could be an option.
Best Time to Visit Coachella Valley
If you are looking for hot weather, a trip to the Coachella Valley is worth it at any time of the year. Summer time however, with highs of 107°F, might be even too hot for the most sun loving visitors!
You might find the winter months from November until March, or maybe April, the most pleasant with temperatures in the 70s and 80s F. Remember though that nights can be cool in the desert!
