December in the
Coachella Valley is the ideal place to be for anyone looking to escape the wintery temperatures elsewhere. Whether in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta or Indio, you can expect
daytime highs of 71°F. Famously, it does cool down at night in the desert so expect
lows of 42°F in December. During the day though there will be
plenty of sun and 10 hours of daylight. Don’t worry about rain either, there is
no rain to be expected.
Whether you are into horses or not, a visit to the
Empire Polo Club in Indio is always a great experience. And a must for plane lovers is a trip to the
Palm Springs Air Museum. There are also some great Christmas lights and Santa sightings to be expected during the holidays.
Best Time to Visit Coachella Valley
If you are looking for hot weather, a trip to the Coachella Valley is worth it at any time of the year. Summer time however, with highs of 107°F, might be even too hot for the most sun loving visitors!
You might find the winter months from November until March, or maybe April, the most pleasant with temperatures in the 70s and 80s F. Remember though that nights can be cool in the desert!
