It is hot in August in the Coachella Valley with daytime highs of 106°F. Nights are usually cooler but it won’t drop below 80°F. Lots of sun and 13 hours of daylight is coupled with dry air and no rain. Try to avoid the sun during lunchtime and have enough water with you all the time!
If you dare to visit the desert in August you could still have a nice time in museums or shopping malls like in Westfield Shopping or in El Paseo Gardens.
Best Time to Visit Coachella Valley
If you are looking for hot weather, a trip to the Coachella Valley is worth it at any time of the year. Summer time however, with highs of 107°F, might be even too hot for the most sun loving visitors!
You might find the winter months from November until March, or maybe April, the most pleasant with temperatures in the 70s and 80s F. Remember though that nights can be cool in the desert!
April, of course, is the best time to visit if you’re looking to see some of the superstar headliners at the Coachella Festival!
