Expect pleasant
highs of 67°F in May in Big Bear Lake. At night it could still
cool down to 35°F though so pack a winter coat too! The days are sunny and long with 14 hours of daylight and it
hardly rains with only 1 rainy day in May on average. So get ready to fully enjoy the outdoor activities while it isn’t yet that busy. Swimming probably won’t be an option yet as the mountain lake has a water temperature of only 59°F. But the lake is open for all sorts of other water sports!
May is a great time to see some
waterfalls as there is lots of meltwater flowing down the mountains. Besides hiking and cycling, you might also want to play some
golf,
fish or do some
horseback riding! All this and much more is available in Big Bear Lake! You could also check out the Big Bear Lake
‘Grill and Chill’ festival!
